Artists Around the World Compete for Exhibition Booths ART 2024

The highly anticipated art juried event, International Grand Prize Art Competition (IGPAC), is now open for submissions online (https://db.gpdeva.com/gp_web/art1/art_signup_home.aspx) Outstanding artists aged 18 years old and above are eligible for the competition. Finalists will not only have their artworks exhibited at Art Revolution Taipei (A.R.T.) 2023, but also winners of the Grand Prize and Gallery Recognition awards will also be granted solo exhibition booths at A.R.T. 2024.


International Artist Grand Prize Competition 2023 Is Now Open for Submission

Organized by Taiwan International Contemporary Artist Association (TICAA), this competition has been co-organized with the Art Revolution Taipei, the largest art platform in Taiwan. Upholding the Art Director, Mr. Lee Sun-Don’s philosophy, the purpose of International Artist Grand Prize Competition is to inspire artists to fully exert their talents and creativity, and offers an international platform to showcase their works, even the emerging artists have an opportunity to shine.

Being launched since 2012, this competition has become the largest scaled art event amongst the Asian art fairs, gaining great reputation for attracting some of the most excellent artists around the world. Unaffected by the pandemics, those participating artists present their heartwarming humanistic caring to soothe pains and loss with beauty and kindness. In 2020, there were 334 out of 4,337 pieces of artworks from 82 countries were selected; in 2021, there were 388 out of 4,342 pieces of artworks from 82 countries were selected; and in 2022, 328 out of 4,258 pieces of artworks from 76 countries were selected.

Many artists obtain collectors’ support and market presence from this competition. For example, the Turkish artist Mustafa YÜCE, winner of the Gallery Prize 2015, becomes a notable artist after being covered by their local media; moreover, he’s awarded the first prize of this grand artist competition with his hyper-realistic oil painting, titled “Asylum”in 2022. The self-taught artist Kurma Venkata Siva Prasad from India won the first prize in 2015, has become an emerging star in the Asian art circle, highly sought-after by collectors. The first prize winner in 2019, artist Wong Wen-Chuan from Taiwan showcased his sculptures in A.R.T. 2020, which was a great hit. Artist Mani Mehrzad outstood himself and won the Chairman Award in 2022 with his oil painting titled “The Snow Geography.”

Submissions for the IGPAC 2023 is now open until November 10, 2022. All selected entries will be announced on December 15, 2022, and exhibited during the A.R.T. 2023 running May 5 ~ 8, 2023. The award-winning artists may exhibit at the “International Artist Salon” during the 14th edition of A.R.T. in 2024. Winners of Grand Prize and Gallery Recognition Prize will be awarded solo exhibiting booths respectively, sponsored by X-Power Gallery.




All selected entries will be exhibited during the A.R.T. 2023.

Art Revolution Taipei has created a sensational impact since its debut in 2011, with the innovative concept of “presenting artists at the center of the exhibition stage.” Under meticulous curatorial design, the A.R.T. presents a solo exhibition for each artist. This innovative artist-oriented layout has developed the A.R.T. into one of the top international art fairs in Asia and the world, becoming a platform connecting international artists to Taiwan, and an international stage for budding artists to prove themselves. In 2011, 89.66% of participating artists sold their artworks, and the sales rate has remained around 80-90% since then.
