The contrast between Tung Lung's sculptures and paintings are noteworthy. Paintings are free like gliding in the air; on the other
hand, sculptures resemble the ocean in deep sea, steady and unfathomable. His flatworks are a discussion his subconscious, and his
figurines his extension in the space. To him, creating 3-dimensional works becomes an expression and experimentation of simple
lines.
繪畫的整體態勢比較輕鬆自然，而雕塑卻頗具沉靜的量感，一個靈動到似在空中飛升，另一個則似乎沉入海裡；在作品的內在思索層面，
繪畫是藝術家內心在平面上的呈現，雕塑顯然是空間上的延展。而雕塑之於許東榮則是他對於線條思考的釋放！
